I was born in Ghana where I began studying theology at Valley View University in 2002. After completion in 2006, I served with the Central Ghana Conference of SDA as a district pastor for Yeji in the Pru-District of the Brong Ahafo region. I have always considered those years as one of my golden moments in life.
In 2010, I left for graduate studies in the universities of Lausanne and Geneva, Switzerland. Since then, I have spent most of my years in Switzerland studying and pastoring. My academic thesis centers around my new development of African studies called Sunsumatology – the study of the Akan sunsum (spirit) in its theological, anthropological, pneumatological, and cosmological context.
Besides my theological career, I also have two diplomas in Global governance and Journalism.
I presently serve as the church pastor of the Adventist English Church in Geneva in the Swiss Romand-Tesin Federation. It is the only English speaking Adventist church in Switzerland characterized by a diversity of multinational backgrounds.
Writing has been part of my life journey. You can find some of my articles in the Adventist Review, Adventist Magazine, Ministry Magazine, and other Adventists media networks. My academic papers are not listed on this website. I’m also an active internet blogger. You can visit some of my blogs at www.prclifford.wordpress.com and www.quotesofclifford.wordpress.com.
I enjoy preaching about the Lord Jesus Christ and have a strong passion for a Bible-based revival. I sporadically concern myself with socio-political issues, which I think is inescapable from my discipline as long as theology confronts societal challenges.
